MEET MORICE (MOE) NORRIS
Founder, Investor, Innovator, CEO
Moe Norris is a former NFL defensive back for the Detroit Lions and founder of the Moe Norris Foundation, using his journey through football, adversity and reinvention to inspire people to find purpose beyond the moment they thought defined them.
Raised in Fresno, California, in a single-mother household as one of five children, Moe grew up alongside an older brother who uses a wheelchair. That experience gave him an early understanding of resilience, disability and the importance of opportunity.
Moe went on to achieve a lifelong dream: reaching the NFL. During his second year as a professional athlete, while playing some of the best football of his young career, he unexpectedly suffered a seizure. Soon afterward, his NFL career ended.
Instead of allowing that moment to become the end of his story, Moe turned it into the beginning of a larger mission , using his faith, experiences, relationships and platform to build something bigger than himself.
Today, through the Moe Norris Foundation, that mission has become a movement. The Foundation exists to create opportunity, accelerate innovation and celebrate achievement for people with disabilities through sports, technology, entrepreneurship, entertainment and community.
