Moe’s Story.

My story didn’t begin with a foundation or a technology company. It began with adversity.

 I grew up in Fresno, California, where I learned early that resilience isn’t something you’re born with; it’s something you build. Football became my dream and eventually took me to the professional level, where I earned the opportunity to play in the NFL. Like so many athletes, I believed my purpose was on the field. But life had a different plan.

A career-changing injury forced me to ask a question that would redefine my life: “If football was taken away, who am I really meant to become?”

The answer had been in front of me all along.

Growing up with a brother who uses a wheelchair gave me a perspective many people never experience. I saw the barriers, the lack of opportunity, and the daily challenges faced by people with disabilities. But I also saw something far greater than the obstacles. I saw resilience. I saw strength, determination, creativity, and people who simply needed the opportunity to show the world what they were capable of.

That realization became my life’s mission.

Today, everything I build is driven by one purpose: creating a world where disability is never a barrier to opportunity, independence, or freedom. Through the Moe Norris Foundation, we are creating experiences that inspire hope, building partnerships that open doors, investing in technology that restores independence, and developing programs that help people with disabilities thrive in sports, education, entrepreneurship, and everyday life.

Champion Games is one expression of that vision. It brings thousands of families, athletes, innovators, business leaders, and community partners together to celebrate ability and redefine how the world sees disability. But our mission doesn’t end when the event is over. We are building a lasting movement that creates opportunity every day of the year.

My journey has taught me that our greatest setbacks often reveal our greatest purpose. What once felt like the end of my story became the beginning of something much bigger than myself.

This isn’t about building a foundation. It’s about building a future where every person, regardless of ability, has the freedom to dream, the opportunity to succeed, and the support to live with dignity and independence.
